What to Expect

I will help you translate your career story into a résumé that beats applicant tracking systems (ATS), attracts employers and more interview calls, and catapults you to the next level of your career. The résumé writing process is a collaborative effort which requires you to think about the skills and abilities you have acquired, and more importantly, the accomplishments and highlights you have celebrated throughout your career. The conversations that we have and the prompting questions I ask surrounding your professional story will help you recall highlights and accomplishments you may have forgotten, or even overlooked as being significant or impactful.

What do you look for in a client?

I work with individuals who maintain professionalism during all phases of the drafting process. He or she is respectful, clear and consistent in communication, and possesses emotional intelligence that will ensure the relationship we build is a positive one.

I work with individuals who understand the value of a résumé (and other self-branding documents). If you are uncertain or aren’t ready to professionally collaborate or commit to the process, I will kindly reject your request. I do not with with individuals who believe that payment is an invitation for unprofessional or disrespectful practices.

The Process

  • Once you have agreed to work with me, and all payment related discussions have been settled, I review your résumé to assess its strengths and opportunities.

  • Next, I engage in extensive research on the job and organizations you want to work for, as well as those you have worked for in the past. This allows me to consider your experience in relation to the expectations of the jobs and companies you are applying for. This is important because employers are looking for specific qualities in their candidates. I make sure that your résumé includes relevant and necessary highlights of the jobs you want to apply for, while maintaining integrity of your professional history.

  • After I have revised your résumé, I provide you with an initial draft for which you share your thoughts and approval. Accordingly, I make any necessary edits and revisions, and then send you a second draft.

  • On average, the process requires around four to five major revisions until a client is 100% satisfied.

  • After your approval, I scan your résumé through an ATS scanner to ensure your résumé is as optimized as possible for the job(s) you want to apply for.

  • Once the draft is finalized, I draft your cover letter according to various elements, including the needs and expectations of the company or organization you are applying for, your professional highlights, and depending on your field - your personality.

  • The cover letter also goes through the collaborative process until you are 100% satisfied.

  • Furthermore, if you want an additional package with a templated résumé and cover letter, I design a template according to your field and (sometimes) your personality.

  • At the end, you receive editable Word and PDF documents for all your documents.

  • Many of my clients stay in touch with me and I enjoy hearing their success stories!
